Your septic systems work hard day and night through the year and require regular maintenance and cleaning services to pump the sludge. Southeastern New Brunswick and Moncton have grown to depend on Carter's Septic Tank Service and Portable Washrooms for affordable septic tank pumping and other pumping applications. Pumping is the process of removing sludge from the bottom of the septic tank. This ideally needs to be done before the sludge builds up to a level where it becomes a problem and blocks the outlet pipe through which liquids flow into the drain. Regular septic tank pumping will keep your system running smoothly and help spot potential issues that could lead to a breakdown.
Our technicians are trained to recognize all the warning signs and take the necessary steps to keep your system functioning properly. Our Department of Transportation-approved vacuum trucks are also capable of pumping mud, water, oil and chemicals. Contact us to book our service now!
At Carter's Septic Tank Service and Portable Washrooms, we use a portable PRO-VAC Industrial Pump-Out Station designed for the most demanding liquid pumping applications. This intelligent pumping solution is best suited for locations where a large vacuum-truck hose is unacceptable and in remote indoor jobs that are hard to access.
We have served Moncton and its surrounding areas with a range of septic tank pumping services for over 5 decades. Over the years, Carter's Septic Tank Service and Portable Washrooms have had to apply several creative solutions to handle certain pumping situations. "We came up with the Wee Vac when we started pumping 35-gallon, under-sink grease traps at small mall stores, and no one wanted dirty 3-inch hoses coming into their kitchens," says Brad Carter, company vice president. "Some places didn't even allow hoses."
Our solution? The experts at Carter's Septic Tank Service and Portable Washrooms adapted a 4-wheel hand truck by adding larger rubber tires and a sturdier axle. We then modified a 55-gallon drum by attaching a 2-inch coupler to the lid for a vacuum-hose hook-up and mounting an electric vacuum pump that draws 105 cfm.
Inside the drum, a 2-inch pipe runs from the Camlock almost to the bottom of the barrel, which enables pumpers to vacuum out the drum's contents with their septic truck hose. Once it leaves the site, the unit weighs about 125 pounds and is 24 inches wide, so it fits through a standard 32-inch doorway. The drum is 35 inches tall, and the unit measures 52 inches tall to the top of the hand-truck handle. The unit has a charcoal-filled exhaust to help deodorize the air and operates on 110 volts.
Every septic tank system should be inspected every two to three years and pumped out and cleaned out every three to five years at the very least. Undersized systems or those that have electrical float switches, pumps, or mechanical components and are heavily used may need to be inspected and pumped once every year. Our septic tank technicians will be able to determine when and how often you need to go in for a pumping service after taking the following factors into account:
